The best solution to make sure you stay safe is to update any instances that have them available or if you're using a vanilla instance with Fabric or Forge, you can make sure to update your Fabric/Forge version to the latest. To make sure you have the latest version of ATLauncher, make sure to restart the launcher or use the Update Data button in the bottom left of the launcher to get any new updates for the launcher. Mojang have already released a fix for the issue.ĪTLauncher has released 2 updates to also address this issue. For servers, you will need to recreate them to get the latest versions downloaded and applied.Īs we've always mentioned, you should also make sure you're using the latest Fabric/Forge version where possible.Īs you may or may not be aware, there was recently a security vulnerability exposed within Minecraft through the Log4J library that is included and used by Minecraft versions 1.7 and later.
These libraries will automatically download and install themselves the next time you launch your instances, there's nothing you need to do.
While the patches that Mojang applied to their own launcher, and were applied in our previous launcher updates will fix the issue, these fixes provide a complete fix to the issue and leave no doubt that there are any more issues going forward (at least for the issues that we know of today). Minecraft 1.12 and onwards uses an updated version of Log4J with the vulnerabilities fixed (version 2.16.0) Minecraft 1.7 to 1.11.2 now uses a patched version of Log4J (version 2.0-beta-9-fixed)

This change has taken effect as of today and will mean some changes for the way you download modpacks from CurseForge.Īny modpacks which include mods that have disabled third parties from downloading them will require extra steps to manually download those mods via your browser in order to complete the installation process.Ī similar process will be involved for any mods added to instances from CurseForge also. This meant that any mod on CurseForge can choose to turn off distribution of their mods to all third party clients. Projects on CurseForge would have the ability to decide if third parties are able to download their projects. When CurseForge announced that an official api was coming for third parties to use, there was a caveat. $1.doIntersectionPrivilege(Unknown Source) BasicButtonListener.mouseReleased(Unknown Source) LauncherFrame.actionPerformed(LauncherFrame.java:399) LauncherFrame.action(LauncherFrame.java:411) InstalledPack.getInstalledDirectory(InstalledPack.java:186) Please help me my friends all play Attack Of The B-Team and I want to play with them on our server but my modpacks aren't loading.
